Privacy Policy
How VancedSelf handles information.
Interim document: This policy does not currently publish a mailing address. Confirm it against the production build, Firebase settings, RevenueCat configuration, app-store disclosures, retention schedule, and actual support process before launch.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Jonathan Fernandes, operating as VancedSelf (“VancedSelf,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles personal information when you use the VancedSelf mobile application and related services (the “App”). Questions and privacy requests should be sent to jonfernc@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address, Firebase account identifier, and optional display name. Firebase Authentication processes your password; VancedSelf does not receive or store your password in readable form.
When you use the App, we collect the information you choose to save, which may include goals, habits, daily check-ins, fitness activity, sleep settings, water targets, finance goals, journal entries, meditation settings, to-do items, preferences, and related dates or progress. This information may reveal sensitive details about your health, finances, or personal life, so do not enter information you do not want stored or synced.
The App stores certain settings locally on your device, such as tutorial completion and streak-related state. The App may also receive technical, diagnostic, and security information from the operating system, Firebase, the app store, or other service providers. Review the production SDK configuration before launch and list any specific identifiers, crash reports, analytics, or advertising data actually collected.
3. Information we do not intentionally collect
Based on the current App configuration, we do not intentionally request access to your precise location, contacts, camera, photo library, or microphone. We do not use personal information for behavioral advertising. If a future version requests a device permission or introduces analytics, advertising, or another new data practice, we will update this Policy and provide any notice or consent required by law.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to create and secure accounts, provide the App, sync your data across devices, calculate progress and reports, remember preferences, process support requests, enable subscriptions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot, improve reliability, comply with law, and protect users and our rights.
We use personal information only for specified purposes. Where consent is required, we will request meaningful consent and explain the relevant collection, use, disclosure, and consequences. You may withdraw consent where permitted, although withdrawal may prevent us from providing features that require the information.
5. Service providers and disclosures
We use Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore to authenticate accounts and store synced user data. The App uses RevenueCat and the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play billing system to offer and manage subscriptions. These providers may process account identifiers, subscription status, product information, transaction information, and technical data under their own privacy terms.
We may disclose information to contractors and providers acting on our instructions, to comply with law or legal process, to protect safety and security, or in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information for money and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Payments and subscriptions
Payments are processed by Apple, Google, or another authorized store or billing provider. We do not receive your full payment-card number. We may receive subscription status, product, transaction, country, and account-linking information needed to provide paid features, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and handle support.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain account and synced App data while your account is active. After a verified deletion request, we delete the account and synced data from our active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution. Support requests may be retained for up to 24 months. Encrypted backups may retain deleted data for up to 30 additional days before routine rotation.
You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information through our account deletion request page or by contacting jonfernc@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity. Deleting an account may not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; cancel it through the store where you purchased it.
8. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, or any higher age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children contrary to applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
9. Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including authenticated access controls and encrypted transmission where provided by our infrastructure. No service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed or disclosed improperly.
Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Where required, we use an approved legal transfer mechanism and additional contractual or organizational protections. Review the current Firebase and RevenueCat terms for provider-specific transfer details.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of your information; withdraw consent; and complain to a privacy regulator. Contact us to exercise a right. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain if a lawful exception applies.
Jonathan Fernandes is the privacy contact for VancedSelf. If you are in Canada, you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your applicable provincial privacy regulator.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy when our practices or legal obligations change. We will change the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice where required. The current version is always available on this page.
